Reonet has undertaken energy efficiency projects in both a direct and indirect manner. Indirect energy savings were achieved as a by-product of water efficiency, through a reduction in the requirement for energy to pump and purify water. Direct energy savings projects include the replacement of energy inefficient technology and devices in buildings – that is Power Factor Correction, Voltage Optimisation, LED Lighting, Heat Pumps, etc. The success of these projects is dependent on the automated metering and monitoring of electricity, enabling early warning and automated reporting of spikes, tampering, anomalous use or usage outside of adjustable norms.

Reonet has implemented its acclaimed RealSens™ AMR system in a wide range of applications for a wide client base, including municipalities, water boards, shopping malls, private hospitals, government facilities (military, correctional services, police services, administrative buildings, etc.), high-rise apartments and office buildings, multi-use developments, etc., for all utilities, from water, electricity, gas, chilled water, hot water, water quality monitoring, reservoir level monitoring, pressure monitoring, etc.

Reonet has undertaken more than 20 major water efficiency projects over the past 15 years which have resulted in excess of 93-million cubic meters of water savings and more than R2-billion in monetary savings.
